We Forget That We Had to Learn!

We all have skills we now perform without thinking — like riding a bike, driving a car, or playing a favorite sport or instrument. These things were once unfamiliar, but with repetition and confidence, they became second nature.

Using software is no different.
When you take the time to truly learn the basics until you own the knowledge, the steps become automatic. You’ll use the tools so naturally, you’ll forget there was ever a learning curve.

A Great Place to Start - Keyboard SHORTCUTS

Keyboard shortcuts are one of the easiest ways to save time and increase confidence while digitizing. They not only speed up your workflow but help you become more connected to the software.

The good news? Many shortcuts in EmbroideryStudio are the same as standard Microsoft programs, making them easy to pick up.

Familiar examples include:

CTRL C = Copy

CTRL V = Paste

CTRL D = Duplicate

CTRL N = New

Exclusive EmbroideryStudio Shortcuts

There are over 130 keyboard shortcuts, many of which are unique to the software and built specifically for professional digitizers.

🗂️ You can find the full list in the Reference Manual under the Quick Reference section.

📥 And for quick access, we’ve included an exclusive shortcut guide download at the bottom of this blog.

Tip: Learn just a few shortcuts each day or week — whatever suits your schedule — and practice using them. Before long, you’ll digitize faster and with more confidence.
