2020 is going to be an exciting time for Wilcom’s EmbroideryStudio users as we continue to innovate our flagship embroidery and multi-decoration solution.

An update is planned for early February 2020, and was showcased at the major exhibitions around the world. Available in this latest version is EmbroideryConnect’s management console called EmbroideryHub and brand new creative stitch types to take your digitizing to the next level. These will blow you away.

Available for purchase with this latest software release is EmbroideryConnect WiFi Device.

Firstly, the Reef Photo Stitch. This is a modern take on Photo Flash, where an incredibly complex image is simplified to just a single run stitch.

However, what sets this apart is that the single run never crosses itself or repeats along the same line. The coral reef-like stitch pattern concentrates in darker areas of the image. It is extremely fast and efficient and creates a unique artistic style.

The finished design also has only a single trim, which means it’s clean, and the design is flexible and soft to the touch. This style lends itself perfectly to capture gorgeous photos of people and pets. See this incredible stitch illustrated with the dog design below.

The second new stitch type is the Maze Fill. This stitch style has been used for decades within the fashion embroidery world. Specialist trained digitizers are employed purely to create these intricate designs and are typically paid 3x the salary of a regular digitizer.

The Maze stitch fills shapes with perfect, evenly spaced lines that never overlap in just a few clicks, saving many hours of digitizing work. Now, this technique can be achieved by all digitizing teams.

The style is typically used to create flowers, paisley prints or any outlined curved shapes. It creates beautiful designs with much fewer stitches.

Specialist trained digitizers are employed to manually digitize visually even “maze-like” run stitches and are typically paid 3x the salary of a regular digitizer.

Available as an inclusion within the software is a new stitch feature called Hand Stitch Effect. This feature creates a randomised organic hand-feel effect with random spacing and random thickness.

Apply it to any stitch type.

This feature alone will create fashion-forward designs and could revitalise your digitizing.
